Blenduk church - semarang .
This church was built in 1753 to form the typical Javanese houses on
stilts with the roof which is also typical Javanese architecture. This
church is the oldest church in central java, the official name of this
church at that time was 'protestantse Kerk' . in 1894 two Dutch
architect W. Westmaas and HPA de Wilde did a big overhaul, changing the
church by adding two towers on the front. this building facing south and
the octagonal shape, with porticoes on the east, west and north, dorik
roman style with saddle-shaped roof. semarang society more familiar with
this church by the name of the church 'Blenduk'. Blenduk in the Java
language has meaning - something that stands out but still wrapped in
something. term is due to form a dome-shaped roof of the church like a
half circle protruding ball upward. location of the church which is now
